This is to show how the payment is applied and the user's portion of that payment. In the green boxes below the invoice, 10001 is repeated under users Bill Smith and Lindsay Knox. To show the data for each user, invoices and the data associated will repeat several times. The report can be used to view the revenue generated for that client or matter that was brought to the firm by each originating attorney. This report allows you to keep track of client and matter allocations based on the attorney who initiated the business with the firm. Originator: Attorney(s) who should receive compensation for originating a client or matter. ![]() This will allow you to add the split percentages and percent of the rate for all originating attorneys. When creating or updating a client or matter select the advanced option to the right of the new Originating Attorney field. Clients and matters may have multiple originating attorneys that can all claim credit and Bill4Time now has an easy way to keep these allocations accurate. In a typical scenario when a new client retains a law firm, the firm may allocate a portion of the fees generated by that client to the originating attorney. For any users on a Bill4Time Legal Pro and Enterprise plans, originating attorney fields can be utilized when creating a new or updating an existing client or matter. ![]()
